Since 1956

When you grow up in a family business, you learn to do it all and start helping at a young age. At 13 years old, Alan began working in the summers by doing clean up duties and packaging parts. As he grew older, his responsibilities also continued to grow and he learned inventory control and ordering processes. He then became ingrained in the manufacturing and business side of the industry. He took over the family business from his father and is an expert in the window industry and knows the ins and outs of our southern KY region.

When it came time to retire, Alan’s first call was to Zack. Having been with Capitol for 8 years, Zack had since gone to work for Lowe’s where he grew is knowledge and expertise in home remodeling and big box retail management. He and his family are honored to carry on the family owned tradition and values of Capitol Window and Door that Joe and Alan fostered for 2 generations.

Alan can remember pushing a broom to help our his father Joe at Capitol Window and Door long before he took over the family business for his dad. Once he took over the business, Joe worked for him, as long as he worked for his dad.
